Note that as the paired fundus photograph and the angiograph are not aligned, the positions of the green rectangle are not identical. Looking at the magnified view, both CycleEBGAN and CycleGAN produced good synthesis results that matched the angiography. In contrast, Pix2Pix generated abnormal disc and vessels. Compared to Pix2Pix, both CycleGAN and CycleEBGAN show robust results in dealing with the misalignment of paired images.
