(A) circRNAs serve as an miRNA sponge to regulate the expression of target genes; (B) ElciRNAs bind to U1 snRNP to form a complex, which in turn binds to Pol II in the promoter region to regulate the transcriptional level of genes; ciRNAs can directly accumulate in the parental transcribed region to promote Pol II activity and regulate the expression of downstream genes; (C) circRNAs can interact with RBPs to regulate the function of related proteins; (D) circRNAs can translate into peptides or proteins.
