(C) miR-448 targets and degrades ythdf3 and itga6. (D) On the other hand, the histone demethylase lysine-specific demethylase 5B (KDM5B), an overexpressed oncogene in the malignant phenotype of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), inhibits miR-448 expression and therefore protects itga6 degradation.
