Promising Combinations of MicroRNAs for Enhanced CRC Detection. These combinations comprise microRNAs with distinct expression patterns and have been extensively studied in both stool and blood samples. Notably, one combination includes two microRNAs with divergent expression levels in stool and plasma specimens, which are analyzed together. The majority of combinations were evaluated in blood samples and exhibit high sensitivities and specificities. In contrast, 20% of microRNA combinations are described in stool samples, including the miRFec algorithm, enabling the detection of precancerous lesions, such as advanced adenoma.
