ACC inhibition increases speed of incorrect choices in reversal learning. (A) In hM4Di rats, clozapine-N-oxide (CNO) administration significantly reduced the latency to choose the incorrect stimulus and collect reward in the reversal, not discrimination, phase. ACC theta did not predict speed of responses for any trial epoch in either the discrimination or reversal phase. (B) In eGFP rats, there was no significant hastening of incorrect choices, although there was a significant drug–phase interaction for trial initiation latencies (subsequent post hoc effects were not statistically significant).
