Search criteria: Quantitative studies published in English between 2010 and 2022 providing insight on sociodemographic differences and disparities in ageism among US adults ages 50+. Database searches were conducted in PubMed with the “ageism” MESH term and keywords of ageism, ageist, age discrimination, self-perceptions of aging, age prejudice, age stereotypes, age identity, and unequal aging.
