To verify specificity of the developed method for spectrofluorometric determination of MSG in the food samples. The effect of some substances including glucose, lactose, starch, NaCl, KCl and glycine were studied. It was observed that there is no interferences upon high concentrations of these substances (Table S2). So that this developed method has a good specificity for quantitation of MSG
