HCASMC were pre-adapted for 5d to 18 or 5 kPa O₂ and then treated with vehicle (Veh, 0.01% DMSO), TPEN (Zn²⁺ chelator, 1.25 μM) or ZnCl₂ (10 μM) and 2-mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium salt (Zn ionophore pyrithione, 0.5 μM) (ZnCl₂+Py). A, ICP-MS analysis of total Zn content in HCASMC following treatment for 16 h with Veh, TPEN or ZnCl₂+Py.
