Fig. 2 — LPS stimulates gut barrier dysfunction by destroying tight junctions via the TLR4/NF-κB pathway. LPS-activated TRL4 promotes the phosphorylation of IκBa and p65, which results in p65 translocating to the nucleus and IκBa being degraded. The activated TLR4/NF-κB pathway eventually decreases the expression of TJ proteins and impairs the gut barrier
