Macroscopic morphology of M. smegmatis mc²155 strain spreading on the surface of a motility agar plate. mc²155 was grown in 7H10, and a single colony was transferred with a toothpick to the center of a 0.3% agar plate containing 7H9 basal medium without any added carbon source. The plate was sealed with parafilm and incubated at 37°C for 2 weeks.
