Figure 2.

Comparisons of the blaOXA-244 containing chromosomal region in the outbreak clone with selected isolates of ST349, ST131 and ST38 representing three variants

OXA: oxacillinase; RNA: ribonucleic acid; ST: sequence type.

The GenBank accession for ST349 is NZ_CP068802.1, for ST131 NZ_CP059279.1 and for ST38 NZ CP038505.1. The chromosomal position of the OXA-244-encoding element (3,308 bp) upstream of tRNA:SeC is indicated. Arrows represent annotated coding sequences with blaOXA-244 (fuchsia), the transcription regulators pgrR and dmlR (dark blue), prophage integrase intS (turquoise), with Tn6237 (yellow), genomic island (orange) and E. coli (green) genes highlighted. Mobile elements are boxed (white). Blue shading between pairs of sequences indicates identity (93 to 100%) as indicated by the colour code.
