Fig. 2 — Perforation in the sigmoid colon. There was a slight loss of color from the descending colon to the sigmoid colon, suggesting impaired blood flow in the inferior mesenteric artery region after Y-graft placement (a), but the initial histological examination showed that the mucosa in the area of perforation was preserved, and there was little evidence of impaired blood flow (b).
