Parametric quantitative variables are presented as means of standard deviation (SD), and nonparametric quantitative variables are presented as median and interquartile ranges (IQR; 25th and 75th percentiles).

Categorical data were analyzed using a Fishers exact test. Continuous parametric data were analyzed using a t-test. Continuous non-parametric data were analyzed using the Mann–Whitney U test.
