IOA-289 inhibits the formation of colonies from single cells suspension. Cells were seeded with Matrigel and culture for 7–15 days in absence or presence of 3, 9 and 12 µM IOA-289. The total number of colonies with at least 50 cells was counted under a Nikon Ti2 microscopy. Cells treated with IOA-289 form fewer colonies compared to untreated control cells (blue bar graph). In particular, the formation of colonies is completely inhibited treating KKU-M213 and HT-29 cells with 9 and 12 µM IOA-289.
