ECG and EGCG dimers inhibited EGF-mediated MMP-2/9 increased mRNA levels in SW480, HCT15, HCT116 and HT29 cells. Cells were pre-incubated with or without 5 μM ECG and 15 μM EGCG dimers for 30 min and then with or without EGF (10 ng/ml) for subsequent 6 h. MMP-2/9 mRNA levels were measured by qPCR and referred to actin mRNA levels as housekeeping gene. Results are shown as means ± SEM of 3–5 independent experiments.
