Recombinant versions of both proteins, lacking the TMD, were expressed in E.coli and purified. ACBD4 (10 μM) was bound onto Ni-NTA beads and incubated with indicated concentrations of VAPBmsp. Bound fractions were analysed by immunoblotting with His and VAPB antibodies.
