Two constructs were compared: Ribozyme 51 with a selected N20 region (black filled circles), and ribozyme T6, which is lacking this region (empty circles). The constructs are shown in Figure 2. The ribozyme activity (percent ligated) is shown as a function of the concentration of Yb³⁺, which was added with a 10-fold stoichiometric excess of cTmp.
