HIV infection of U937 cells induces hyperphosphorylation of IκBα which is dependent on S32 and S36. Mock-infected (NI) or HIV-infected (HIV), Flag-IκBα-wt- or Flag-IκBα-2N-expressing U937 cells were treated (+) or not treated (−) with Bay 11-7082 (Bay 11), TNF, or ALLN, after which the cell lysates were analyzed by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-Flag antibodies.
