The role of resveratrol on the PREP1-mediated expression of proinflammatory cytokines and antioxidant molecules. CTRL and Prep1 overexpressed in MAEC cells were incubated with resveratrol (RSV) at 20 μM concentration for 2 h. Tnf-α (a), Il-6 (b), Il-1β (c), Sod2 (d), and Atf4 (e) mRNA levels were evaluated by a real-time RT-PCR analysis in CTRL, and Prep1 was overexpressed MAEC cells. Data were normalized by the amount of beta-actin used as an internal control. Bars represent the mean ± SD of three independent experiments, each performed in triplicate.
