Pidhorz et al30 (2013) Initial BABP plaster cast immobilization and Dujarrier bandage with switch to resin BABP cast at 3-4 weeks. Total immobilization time averaged 7 weeks (range, 15-120 days).
Desloges et al10 (2015) Immobilized at 90 degrees of elbow flexion with neutral forearm rotation for a mean of 5 weeks (range, 3-8 weeks), followed by active range of motion and supervised physiotherapy once radiographic union was achieved.
Aitken et al1 (2015) Initial above-elbow plaster splint with change to a sling at the first outpatient visit (within 14 days of injury) and instruction to perform unsupervised physiotherapy.
