AD/LB group comparisons of change in cognition adjusted for baseline cognition

Linear mixed-effects (LME) models examining the interaction between AD/LB group and time (years) using change in cognition (global, memory or attention/executive) since baseline as outcome. The models were adjusted for baseline cognition (global, memory or attention/executive z-score), age, sex, cognitive stage (MCI or dementia), years of education, and included a random slope and intercept. The sensitivity analyses were performed in all instances where a baseline group difference was found (Fig. 2a–c). Change in visuospatial function was not examined in the sensitivity analysis since it was a binary variable (0 or 1) and not a continuous variable as the other cognitive variables.
