H3 inhibits NUGC-3 tumor growth in mice. (A) Immunodeficient NSG mice were subcutaneously injected with 1 × 106 NUGC-3 cells on day 0. Eight days post-inoculation, 10 mice were randomly divided into two groups. Mice were treated with the vehicle control or 5 mg/kg H3 every other day until the first control mouse reached the humane endpoints. (B) Body weights of mice carrying NUGC-3 tumors after treatment. (C) Graphical quantification of the difference in tumor weights on day 20 in both groups. (D) Images of tumors excised from mice on day 20 in various treatment groups. (E) Representative tissue sections from two tumors after hematoxylin and eosin (H&E), Ki67, and TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling (TUNEL) staining. Histological images are representative of five mice per group. Error Bars in (A, B) represent the mean ± SD. p values were calculated using two-tailed t-tests. **p < 0.01.
