DESeq2 log2 fold-change was used to categorize bacteria as being enriched in the rhizosphere (L2FC < −1) or soil (L2FC > 1). Soil-enriched bacteria tend to have a higher mPMDT. B A positive correlation exists between soil enrichment and mPMDT, i.e. the rhizosphere contains faster growers than the bulk soil.
