The profile of the pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in ARPE-19 cells secreted in response to oxidative stress and the addition of exogenous CFH. The cells were cultured and treated with different stimuli for 24 h and the cytokines in the culture supernatants were determined. The graphs are representative of three independent experiments. CFH was added to the culture 1 h before H₂O₂; CFH and H₂O₂ were added simultaneously. Simultaneous treatment of cells with different concentrations of CFH (1, 2.5, or 5 µg/mL) and 400 μM of H₂O₂. Unstimulated cells (US) were used as a control. The ANOVA test was performed to compare the differences between groups. * p < 0.05.
