Activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD, U/g), catalase (CAT, U/g), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px, U/g), glutathione reductase (GR, U/g), and glutathione S-transferase (GST, U/g) and the concentrations of total glutathione (GSH, nmol/g), sulfhydryl groups (SH, μmol/g), lipid peroxides (LPO, nmol/mg), and protein carbonyls (PCO, μmol/g) in the livers of the 4- and 24-month-old male and female Wistar rats. The data are presented as the mean ± SEM, n = 6/group; * p < 0.05 for 4-month-old vs. 24-month-old rats; # p < 0.05 male vs. female rats of the same age, two-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test.
