Bacterial diversity modulates the effect of fish intake on child neurodevelopment. The scatter plot displays the relationship between fish intake and neurodevelopment at 18 months (mo), measured with the Survey of Wellbeing in Young Children (SWYC). This relationship was modulated by microbial diversity (X2 = 5.7, p = 0.017) on regression analysis. Blue represents children with fish intake at least once per week, whereas green represents children without fish consumption. Trend lines with 95% confidence intervals are displayed for each group.
