To aid the reader in identifying the structure of the calixarene vectors, we introduced in the figure and in the text a running nomenclature indicating, at the left of the dash, the residue at the upper rim (aromatic nuclei) and, at the right of the dash, the residue at the lower rim (phenolic oxygens).
