Electrophoretic karyotype of P. brasiliensis. (A) Ethidium bromide-stained 0.6% (wt/vol) agarose gel of chromosomal preparations of isolates B-339 and 113. The separation of chromosomal bands was carried out on a Gene Navigator apparatus using the electrophoretic conditions described in Materials and Methods. The sizes of P. brasiliensis and S. pombe chromosomal bands (arrows) are indicated to the left and right of the gel. Chromosomal DNA size standard: S. pombe (MegaBase IV; Gibco-BRL).
