Data flow between project partners during the decision-making process. The clinical data were entered into an electronic case report form (eCRF) and the index knee radiographs were uploaded to the XNAT database [16]. The images were analysed centrally at Utrecht (which took 1–2 weeks), and the resulting KIDA readings together with the eCRF data were imported to the tranSMART data warehouse [17]. After that, the screening model predictions were made and the patients were ranked. Based on that ranking, each centre capacity and inclusion numbers, enrolment was decided and the baseline visits were scheduled no later than 9 weeks after the screening visit.
