Selected population characteristics are provided with all three BPPV subgroup by numbers, means and medians. Percentages, where provided, compare treatment subgroup numbers with the entire study population for easier comparison. Please note that all baseline characteristics did not differ significantly between subgroups except etiology. Because age and duration of BPPV related symptoms were not normally distributed, medians are also provided with these characteristics. Duration is defined as the time from the onset of BPPV related symptoms until the first visit. The subgroup with secondary BPPV includes traumatic BPPV, vestibular neuritis, Meniere’s disease, and patients with previous ear surgery. Please note that BPPV subtype data is missing from one person in the 360-degree subgroup. Significant value of ps are provided in bold. 360, 360-degree somersault maneuver subgroup.
