The scenarios described the expected proportion of patients having their blood pressure controlled at each step of the treatment or required to be treated as per the medication regimen of the protocol step. E.g. scenario 1, 30:30:20:10:10 suggests, 30% of patients will require to be treated as per step 1 medication regimen, another 30% of patients will require to be treated according to step 2, and only 10% of patients would require the escalation to 5th step of the treatment protocol. Patients with uncontrolled blood pressure with the use of the 5th step may need additional medication, but all these patients will need drug therapy prescribed at step 5. All described scenarios consider 100% patients.
