Bacterial two-hybrid analysis of MltG interacts with PG-related proteins. MltG fusions showed positive reactions with PBP1, PBP2, and PBP4. PBP1 is a transglycosylase and a transpeptidase. PBP2 is just a transpeptidase. PBP4 is endopeptidase and a D,D-carboxypeptidase.
