Fig. 3 — Unweighted trait distributions from (a) the ITEX warming experiment in Endalen and (b) the two elevational gradients with and without seabird colony nutrient input, in Bjørndalen and on Lindholmhøgda, respectively, near Longyearbyen, Svalbard. Distributions are given for three habitat types (Dryas heath, Cassiope heath, snowbed) within the ITEX experiment and for the two elevational gradients. The plots are based on all sampled leaves, using local trait values for each plot when available. The size traits (height, mass, length, area and thickness) are log-transformed. Note that 4 values at the elevational gradients where N:P ratio was >100 were removed before plotting the figure.
