Macrophages from aged homozygous APOE4 mice express higher levels of iNOS mRNA. Bone-marrow-derived macrophages were infected with L. monocytogenes (Lm+) at MOI = 0.1; RNA was harvested 5 hpi for qRT-PCR analysis. (A) iNOS induction following exposure to L. monocytogenes.
