  Competition assay between HMCES^FL and indicated HMCES^SRAP variants. HMCES^SRAP‐DPCs in ssDNA (A) or at ssDNA‐dsDNA junctions (B) were pre‐formed and then incubated with 10‐fold excess of HMCES^FL for the indicated amount of time at 37°C prior to separation by denaturing SDS gel (upper panels).
