Summary of ApN and resistin effects on APP/PSN1 animals fed with HFD. HFD-fed APP/PSN1 mice showed an increased number of senile plaques and Aβ42 levels, along with a decrease in cognitive performance, effects that were further worsened by resistin treatment. Conversely, administration of ApN to HFD-fed APP/PSN1 mice resulted in improved cognitive performance and reduced levels of senile plaques and Aβ42 levels.
