Interventions	Dexmedetomidine infusion from induction of anaesthesia to end of surgery (n = 46) vs Saline infusion from induction of anaesthesia to end of surgery (n = 46)
Outcomes	Time to first gas passing Time to intake of sips of water Time to intake of soft diet
