The structure of PG, PI and KdO2 Lipid A are shown. The schematic figures for PG and PI highlight their structural similarity, especially in the polar headgroups. PtdO is a shorthand abbreviation for the phosphatidyl radyl harboring a diacylglycerol backbone coupled via phosphodiester linkage to the polar headgoups.2,10
