The blue box indicates the specific zone with rupture potential. These rupture events can be described as physiological (A), pathological (B), or both (C). All three types of rupture consist of similar remodelling processes, including disrupted cellular layers, remodelling of the extracellular matrix, and immune cell infiltration.
