A) EP defects are highly visible on μCT, and mid-coronal plane of injured lumbar spinal regions vertebrae show trabecular bone remodeling (white arrow) around EP defect (green arrow). B) Quantitative μCT analyses show extensive injuries at the injury site in the area of the endplate.
