Biomarkers of endothelial function were measured in the plasma of mice exposed to filtered air, EPFR lo and EPFR hi. A) The potent vasoconstrictive peptide endothelin-1 (ET-1) was increased in the plasma of mice exposed to EPFR hi versus filter air only. No change in plasma ET-1 levels was noted between mice exposed to EPFR lo versus filtered air (n=16–20/group.
