Photo of a World War II ammunition bunker, at Mt. Edgecumbe in Sitka, which was repurposed to be a mausoleum for deceased TB patients in the 1940s and 1950s. No funds were available to transport remains back to their loved ones for half a century. Fifty years later, if relatives could be located, some were transported home for burial.
