Western blotting analysis with mouse antisera on14 shark tissues demonstrated UrIg protein is found as a dimer in most tissues. Gel of denatured shark lysates was run under non-reducing conditions. Note that UrIg is predominantly a monomer in the five regions of shark brain: Cerebrum, Optic lobe, Midbrain, Cerebellum, Medulla oblongata. WBC (white blood cells) were from the buffy coat of centrifuged blood.
