Figure 6

Chronically administered 8-OH-DPAT reversed T1DM-induced dysregulation of neuronal spinal 5-HT1AR signaling. G-αi in the spinal cord lumbar region. 8-hydroxy-2-(dipropylamino)tetralin (0.5 mg/kg) was injected i.p. for 14 days. ImageLab 4.1 software was used to analyze protein bands of Gαi obtained with the ChemiDoc MP. Each bar represents the means ± SEM of values obtained from five animals/groups. * Diabetic animals were significantly different from corresponding control values at p ≤ 0.05. ** 8-OH-DPAT-treated diabetic animals were significantly different from corresponding diabetic animals at p ≤ 0.05. One-way ANOVA followed by Dunnett’s post-test. Abbreviations: NC—normal control, T1DM—type 1 diabetes mellitus, G-αi—G-protein coupled receptor G-alpha i and 8-OH-DPAT—8-hydroxy-2-(dipropylamino)tetralin.
