Effect of rebamipide on E. coli adhesion to MKN-28 cells. MKN-28 cells were treated with 25 to 100 μg of rebamipide per ml (•) or BSA (○) for 90 min. The amount of adherent E. coli is expressed as the percentage of the amount of E. coli adhering to untreated target cells. Each value represents the mean ± SD for 10 strains tested in this study.
