Kinetics of increase in osmolality in diluted meglumine antimonate. Stock meglumine antimonate (Glucantime) was diluted 1:10 with water at time zero, and osmolality was measured at intervals. Measurements were made in duplicate at 6, 7, and 8 h and in triplicate from 1 to 8 days. The points were fitted to a function with two accumulation terms, yielding the equation y = 75.4 + 18.0(1 − e^−0.027t) + 16.9(1 − e^−1.01t) (r² = 0.987).
