FIGURE 2.

Radiological, pathological and molecular features of Case 2. (A) Axial FLAIR and contrast‐enhanced T1‐weighted MRI sequences showed a large and heterogeneous enhancement of the mass in the right frontotemporal lobe with an obvious mass effect. H&E staining revealed a heterogeneous appearance: (B) The tumour cells were ovoid in shape and densely arranged in sheets with a branching capillary network. (C) Some areas showed a high‐grade ependymoma‐like structure with brisk mitosis. (D) Palisading necrosis was evident. (E) Microcyst patterns are observable. The tumour cells were diffusely immunopositive for CD56 (F) and SATB2 (I), focally positive for Oligo‐2 (H) and weakly positive for BCOR (G). (J,K) Schematic diagram and validation of EP300::BCOR fusion in Case 2: BCOR (blue) and EP300 (purple) with breakpoints (the red line) are shown and confirmed.
