Structures of microbisporicins (102105) and nocathioamides (106108). MibO is proposed to oxygenate the Pro14 residue to form (di)hydroxylation, and NtaM is predicted for the multioxygenations of one of the δ-carbon atoms in Leu5 to deliver a carboxyl group. The exact functions and timings of these P450s are elusive. The proposed oxygenations catalyzed by P450s are highlighted in blue.
