Fig. 2. — Design of gas test. (1) Water control. The chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) gas generator was filled with redistilled water (dW₂). (2) Pre-treated control. ClO₂ gas was generated for 9.5 min before spraying viruses, and the viruses were sprayed after switching off the generator and achieving the concentration that was low enough. (3) Virus was exposed to ClO₂ gas produced from a generator containing 50 ppm ClO₂ liquid for a few seconds.
