Magnificamide cDNA and gene structures. The gene structure (a) was predicted based on WGS and SRA data analysis and confirmed by PCR with gene-specific primers. Two different splice variants of magnificamide cDNAs, (b) obtained as a result of retention or removal of the third intron, were detected by RACEs and cDNA sequencing. White and grey boxes represent untranslated regions (5′- and 3′-UTRs) and propeptides, respectively.
